The Truly Sublime rendition February 1, 2013
By Jan Chciuk-Celt (Portland, OR) See All My Reviews
"This early recording by I Musici di Roma, made when they were still young upstarts fresh out of the academy, is the standard against which all other recordings of the Quattro Stagioni (Four Seasons) are to be measured. I truly believe that, personally. This is the sublime recording. Felix Ayo's playing is perfect, clear and crisp; the ensemble backs him up as if they were the fingers of a hand. Vivaldi comes to life."
