Symphony Nova Scotia With Another Success November 21, 2011 By John Graham Morgan (Dartmouth, NS) See All My Reviews "The ensemble here is Symphony Nova Scotia, a group which has been providing the east coast of Canada with first rate musical experiences for many years both under its former director, the late Georg Tintner, and its current director and conductor on this disc, Bernhard Guller. The works by Canadian Christos Hatzis are at times hauntingly beautiful, at times assertive, but always distinctive. The soloists are excellent in both pieces, and the orchestra plays wonderfully under Guller's precise and dedicated direction. A disc which deserves a wide hearing. " Report Abuse
