An Age of Elegance August 23, 2014 By James Hamilton M. (San Francisco, CA) See All My Reviews "A wonderful compilation of Baroque music. Vivaldi is one of my favorite composers. This has introduced me to several other composers of the period that I was not as familiar with. For a quite time, a cup of tea, this album completes the experience. Great music for on the road as well." Report Abuse
Nice compilation November 29, 2013 By Kefyn Catley (Sylva, NC) See All My Reviews "This is a very nice Decca compilation. All the usual popular movements are here, well played, adequately recorded and nicely sequenced. Of special note is the gorgeous oboe playing of Heinz Holliger and the profoundly beautiful voice of Barbara Bonney in Purcell’s When I am Laid in Earth. This is a great CD for long car journeys or as background to a lazy civilized supper." Report Abuse
