Notes and Editorial Reviews
Charles Munch rarely conducted Italian orchestras: just twenty-one orchestral concerts and four performances of a single opera during his lifetime. (Pelléas). He made his debut in Italy after the war on June 8, 1951, conducting the orchestra of the Italian Radio in Turin. This CD contains most of the concert, which was given for the International Congress of Medicine and Surgery.
