New Hearing May 4, 2015 By Rick B. (Enfield, CT) See All My Reviews "You have two conductors and two orchestras. Heinrich Hollreiser and Jonel Perlea. You have the Bamberg and Vienna Symphonies. They both make great music and sound. This is an old analog recording but is worth the money. Hollreiser does a great job with Brahms No 1. He has the tempos and the winds sound great. Hungarian Dances by Brahms and and conducted by Jonel Perlea area great interpretations. Just by listening to them you know the conductor is Romanian. He gives them the fire and color of the gypsies. I whish J. Nott had done some Brahms but he is going to the Lucerne Sweiss Romane Orchestra." Report Abuse
