Heavenly Singing September 17, 2014 By Joseph Lieber, MD (Great Neck, NY) See All My Reviews "Polyphony, under Layton, is probably one of the best smaller choral ensembles out there. Add that to the ravishing choral work of Karl Jenkins and you have a real winner.Beautiful melodies with complex harmonies makes this a thoroughly enjoyable disc. Though the music is not meant to be deep and searching, it is refreshing and inspiring. For those looking for beautiful a capella singing this is a must have." Report Abuse
Superb Choral Music and Artistry August 26, 2014 By Drude S R. (Westfield, NJ) See All My Reviews "I was not very familiar with the works of Karl Jenkins and after listening to this recording several times I am anxious to hear more of his music. The one piece that I heard on WQXR that caused me to buy this CD was" Exsultate, Jubilate" and I also went ahead and ordered a copy of the sheet music from Boosey & Hawkes in London! I am now encouraging my church choir director to program it for us to sing, it is such an exciting piece. Polyphony sings Karl Jenkins music with such clarity and sensitivity it is a pleasure to hear. Kudos to Stephen Layton and this wonderful ensemble!" Report Abuse
Jenkins and Polyphony - Exquisite collaboration July 18, 2014 By Janice S. (Everett, WA) See All My Reviews "I've had a major crush on Karl Jenkins' music for years, and hearing Polyphony's vocals on these specific compositions is a recipe that has created a dish of music that I can eat over and over again. Yum!" Report Abuse
