After outstanding recordings of sacred works of rarely heard Italian composers Baldassarre Galuppi and Niccolò Jommelli, the Baroque Ensemble Choir & Consort Ghislieri, under the direction of Giulio Prandi turn to the works of the Neapolitan composer Davide Perez (1711-1778).

In this, a world premiere recording, the Italian Special Ensemble for Early Music presents the "Mattutino de 'Morti", a kind of requiem, composed by Perez in 1770, during his 25 years at the court of the King of Portugal.
