Notes and Editorial Reviews

Fifty years earlier, on January 27th 1956, died in Zurich one of the greatest German conductors of the twentieth century, Erich Kleiber, the unforgettable Wozzeck de Berg opera. The same day a hundred years ago saw he birth of a certain Mozart... This box set is a tribute to the one who took Toscanini as a model. Kleiber said 'We have to play what is in the notes'. The booklet includes the complete discography of the artist from the first VOX recordings in 1923 to the latest made by the English firm Decca.
