Marvelous Chopin Performances January 1, 2017 By owen ryan (lakewood, CA) See All My Reviews "In his introductory note Cliburn says of Chopin ''His music is of the piano and for the piano; it was his instrument, and he truly made it sing.'' I think these very words apply to Cliburn as well. I read somewhere that this was the best selling classical album ever. If that is true, it is easy to understand why that is so. This is just some of the most beautiful Chopin you are likely to hear. It's the best that I've got. Compare the ''Heroic'' Polonaise of the Frager CD (preceeding review) with Cliburn's performance. This is a must-have!!" Report Abuse
