A fascinating combination: the classic recordings by Karajan and the Philharmonia when Dennis Brain was a member of the orchestra and the 1937 performance by Viscount Hidemaro Konoe (or Konoye, 1898-1973) who was a co-founder and conductor of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.
