Khachaturian was the best Hollywood composer Armenia ever produced. Admit it: while listening to the Gayne Ballet or the Symphony No. 2 youíve probably thought, ìthis would make a great theme for a big budget movie!î Indeed, Joel and Ethan Coen made good use of some of his music in the film The Hudsucker Proxy, and the Adagio from Spartacus was the beloved theme of the long-running British series The Onedin Line. Here the violinist star of Editions Hera, Michael Jelden, presents some rarely-heard works for violin and piano.
