Notes and Editorial Reviews

"virile, deftly synchronized music making." - ClassicsToday.com reviewing the Sonata for Two Pianos

"Sensitive, beautifully phrased, and alert. Where sometimes the Mozart, in particular, does seem a difficult piece always to find the right tempo for, here as good a shot at perhaps an unattainable ideal is made as it is at all reasonable to expect. The balance between the wind, too, is very expertly managed." - Gramophone reviewing the Piano Quintet

A delightful tidbit July 6, 2016 By Reg Jones (Hamilton, VA) See All My Reviews "Played by Malcolm Frager and his good friend Vladimir Ashkenazy, the Sonata for 2 pianos only occupies 1/3 of this disc. While I think it's worth the price to buy it for that work alone, the quintet is a bonus that boosts the discs value." Report Abuse
