Geiseking: Beethoven Reincarnate July 24, 2012 By Susan H. See All My Reviews "I was in high school when I first heard of Walter Geiseking from a teacher who told me that he was one of the best when it came to playing Beethoven's works. As I was in the process of learning "Moonlight Sonata" myself, I went right out and bought the album (OK, I'm dating myself here). In my opinion, very few pianists have come close to playing "Moonlight" and "Pathetique" with the force, finesse and clarity of technique that he could. I've been collecting his work ever since. This is a great CD!" Report Abuse
