Notes and Editorial Reviews

The Quartet Op.35 by Anton Arensky was composed for a rare instrumentation - violin, viola and two violoncelli. That might be the reason why the excellent work has remained relatively unknown. On this CD, the work is combined with two other works in this delightful instrumentation, another original work by Ernest Sauter and an arrangement by Peter Tschaikwosky.
