BRILLIANT August 25, 2014 By Denton Moers (Houston, TX) See All My Reviews "This is one of the best operas I have seen; especially since one of Tchaikovsky's many works. I would recommend this dvd very highly.------Denton Moers" Report Abuse
Why leave out all the Dance music..? December 2, 2012 By Jan Venter (Johannesburg, gauteng) See All My Reviews "The performance as a whole is very good but when you expect to see what happens with all the dance sections one hears in recorded versions of the work, nothing appears....with all those stunning Russian dancers one would have thought they would have been used to make the opera a complete entity as Tchaikovsky would have wanted...after all why did he compose the music if he did not want it used in the opera.......This is most irritating!!"
