Good for the price April 9, 2013 By Jon Krueger (Jackson, MI) See All My Reviews "This is the famous, if messy at the opening, performance from the Salzburg Festival under Furtwaengler. Those who know the performance and already have it won't find this an improvement sonically; but those who don't know it and wish to have what is generally a white hot traversal of this famous late Verdi opera won't be disappointed for the price."
