A Christmas Festival / Rutter, RPO, Cambridge Singers:

A ClassicsToday 10/10! There's a big, festive feel to the sound and overall ambience of this production (recorded in London's Cadogan Hall), which absolutely suits the occasion--and Melanie Marshall's closing rendition of Have yourself a merry little Christmas (another Rutter arrangement) brings it all home with a nice personal blessing.

Or 5 stars if you are a Rutter fan December 31, 2014 By Jack McCue (Portland, OR) See All My Reviews "Lovely -- but Rutter is always tuneful and lovely. The choir is not as good as many of his recordings, but if you like your Christmas music lush and romantic, Rutter is your man. This a bargain, nicely produced set that makes good Christmas gifts. But that will have to wait for next year. This is Christmas music that you can listen to over and over -- it always pleases. Nice sound, befitting the music itself." Report Abuse
