A Disappointing Start to a Complete Sonata Cycle February 16, 2014 By Peter K. (Fort Collins, CO) See All My Reviews "If Kozeluch is to move out of the realm of the forgotten, he needs a stronger advocate than this recording provides. The instrument sounds tinny and lacking in tonal variety. The playing strikes me as serviceable, but hardly exceptional. I would prefer later discs to use a modern piano. The sonatas in minor keys are the most striking, so as this cycle progresses there should be much to recommend." Report Abuse
