Notes and Editorial Reviews

The beauty of harmony: Musical delicacies with the Sabine Meyer Wind Ensemble.

Clarinet virtuoso Sabine Meyer is not only one of today's leading Classical artists. She has also written record history with her own wind ensemble, which she founded in 1988, performing classic pieces like Mozart's Gran Partita as well as newly-discovered works. The heart of the ensemble's repertoire is so-called "Harmoniemusik", a genre in its own right that had long been forgotten. The Sabine Meyer Edition combines original works and arrangements for wind band by Mozart, Beethoven and their contemporaries from Krommer and Myslivecek to Dvorák, released for the first time as a box set.
