Notes and Editorial Reviews

Founded in 2000, Trio Hochelaga has quickly established itself as one of Canada's most exciting chamber music ensembles. Together, violinist Anne Robert, cellist Benoît Loiselle, and pianist Stéphane Lemelin share their passion for a repertoire that ranges from the Classical period to the present. Their repertoire not only includes the great works of the trio literature, but also makes a special place for French music, whose neglected treasures they enthusiastically explore, notably on this release presenting the only Piano Trios of Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924) and Gabriel Pierné (1863-1937). This autumn, the Trio Hochelaga will give performances in Taiwan and Japan, including, among other works, Pierné's Piano Trio, as well as Beethoven's Read more Triple Concerto with the Tokyo New City Orchestra.
