Notes and Editorial Reviews

The highlight of the disc may be "Mikrographien," a forbidding four-movement work for piano. With its percussive sounds juxtaposed against fleeting, skittering figures, this piece, with a powerful performance by Annette Heinicke, is arguably one of the most demanding yet enthralling works in the modern repertoire.
