Great selections November 26, 2012
By Claudette L. (Hampstead, NH) See All My Reviews
"This is a beautiful compilation of some of the most enjoyable violin music I've ever heard. Some selections seem rather slow in tempo. Otherwise, great music with tenderness, excitement. Enjoy hearing on my Bose audio system. Every detail is beautifully done."

A Fruit Salad of Sound. November 14, 2012
By John W. (Woori Yallock, Vic) See All My Reviews
"Some of the most famous and popular short compositions for the violin are presented here, on two discs. Most of the soloists have been among the world's most accomplished, so why have I given 3 stars? The recordings were made between 1962 and 2001, and given this is a big challenge for the sound engineers to remaster and make an even sound, sadly there appears to be no effort to meet this challenge. I found myself constantly turning the volume up, and then firmly down to stop being drowned out and then up etc. etc. There are numerous superior discs in this category. e.g.Joshua Bell playing Romance of the Violin on Sony."
