Thomas Moore

Biography

Born: 17th century   Died: 17th century
Moore was an English printer who was one of the first printers to introduce the new "tied note" to England. The tied notes joined quavers and semiquavers rather than typographically setting each tail separately. "Comes amoris," the second book, contained these new notes as well as notes with rounded heads. The first book of "Comes amoris" employed the lozenge-shaped notes. Moore was an English printer who was one of the first printers to introduce the new "tied note" to England.
