Seth Bingham

Biography

Born: April 16, 1882; Bloomfield, NJ   Died: June 21, 1972; New York, NY  
Bingham studied at Yale and also in Paris under Widor and Jepson. He was a professor at Columbia University and also taught advanced composition at the Union Theological Seminary. He served for 35 years as the organist and music director at the Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church. His compositions are mostly liturgical choral and organ works, but he also wrote many concertos, suites and sonatas. Bingham studied at Yale and also in Paris under Widor and Jepson.
