American clarinetist Andrew Simon has won acclaim on four continents for his brilliant musicianship and in the words of one musical journal his "almost god-like technique." Michael Tilson Thomas noted his "formidable technique, flair and musicianship." A graduate of the Juilliard School, Mr. Simon is currently principal clarinet of the Hong Kong Philharmonic. This season he played the Corigliano Clarinet Concerto, a work he studied with the composer, with the orchestra.
