This remarkable musician is a rare combination of scientific and creative talents in one man. Born to a musical family, Kehrer started to study music at an early age but later became a mathematics teacher. After a long break, he returned to his music studies. After Kehrer won First Prize at the All-Union Competition of Music Performers in 1961, he achieved his long-awaited fame. In 41 years of performing activities, the pianist gave over 2,000 concerts and taught at the conservatories in Tashkent, Moscow, and Vienna.
