A 20th Century American composer noted for his opera William Penn, composed from 1950 to 1975 and premiered in 1982. For many years this composer was on the faculty of the Combs College of Music in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Received 1948 and 1949 Guggenheim Fellowships. Cascarino composed orchestral and chamber scores as well as for the ballet.
