Robert Moran
Born: January 8, 1937; Denver, CO  
Robert Moran studied with Apostel, Berio, and Milhaud and was the co-founder of the San Francisco New Music Ensemble at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in the '60s. He composed for the large-scale event Pachelbel Promenade for the city of Graz, Austria, in the '70s. Robert Moran studied with Apostel, Berio, and Milhaud and was the co-founder of the San Francisco New Music Ensemble at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in the '60s. He composed for the large-scale event Pachelbel Promenade for the city of Graz, Austria, in the '70s. He is a composer-in-residence at Northwestern University and composed Operas From the Towers of the Moon (1992) for the Minnesota Opera, The Dracula Diary, Night Passage (1995) for 180 male voices of the Seattle Men's Chorus about Oscar Wilde's trial and sentence.
