Rebecca Rollins

Biography

Rebecca Rollins is an American pianist and music educator who is well known for her programs featuring information on women composers. She is a founder of Trio Serena, a group devoted to music of women composers.

She was educated at the University of Minnesota, where she received a Master of Arts in Music History, and Claremont Graduate University, earning a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance.

Read more professor at Saddleback College, Mission Viejo, California, where she teaches the popular course "from St. Hildegard to Madonna," contributions of women musicians. She has recorded two records, Playing the Ivory Moon (featuring music of six women) and, on the audiophile Çedille label, Clearings in the Sky. Read less
