Notes and Editorial Reviews
It was the least we could do, in order to provide an inauguration worthy of these two legendary instruments (thought to be the oldest on the American continent), to enlist the talents of two leading organists. But here they are set in the sumptuous surrounding of a genuine popular festival. This wonderful occasion is here captured live, in all its exuberance and complemented by two touching documents in sound: recording of one of these two instruments by its resident organist taped in 1965, and a moving reportage recorded in the streets of this sublime Peruvian village in the hearts of the Cordilera of the Andes.
