Biography

Born: 1963; London, England  
English composer Philip Gates studied at Millfield School in Somerset and later at Queen's College, Oxford; his principal teacher was Phyllis Sellick. He has published several solo pieces for wind instruments, a string quartet and piano quintet, the brass piece Crossing Jordan (2002), and several other pieces.
