Martin and Michel Berretti; for dance with choreographers Caroline Marcadé, Angelin Preljocaj and Odile Duboc; and for the cinema with Pierre-Henry Salfaty and Alain Fleischer (with whom he has collaborated regularly for twenty years). Born in 1951, Bernard Cavanna was strongly encouraged by Henri Dutilleux, Georges Aperghis and Aurèle Stroë to devote himself to composition. Prix de Rome in 1985-86, holder of an annual fellowship for creation, winner of the SACEM Prize for Best New Contemporary Work (1998), the UNESCO International Tribune (1999), 'Victoires de la Musique' award and SACD Grand Prize for Music (2007), his works produce a strong impression on the public and critics, to which this outstanding set attests magnificently.
