Since late 1990 David Pereira has been Senior Lecturer in Cello at the Canberra School of Music. He continues to be in demand as a performer, with recent appearances including solo recitals and concerto performances throughout Australia. For eleven years he was the cellist of the Australia Ensemble, for seven years Principal Cellist of the Australian Chamber Orchestra and for three years Principal Cello of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
