Notes and Editorial Reviews

Nina Kavtaradze's first volume for Danacord of the complete piano music of Mussorgsky (DACOCD 551) was well received by the critics. She began her musical studies at an early age at the Central Music School of the Conservatory in her city of birth, Moscow. Eleven years later, she graduated from the Conservatory and joined the class of Lev Oborin. Following her graduation, the great teacher was to write this of his pupil: "she is a musician who possesses talent of the very highest order, with considerable artistic depth and brilliant individuality."
