British recorder player Michael Copley is a versatile musician at home in both folk and classical idioms. He has performed in the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, the Wigmore Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and Carnegie Hall, as well as on tour in Europe, Japan, Canada, and the United States. He has also worked at the Pavarotti Music Centre in Mostar, Bosnia, learning about Balkan folk music and traditional Balkan wind instruments. As a classical recorder player, he has appeared as soloist with the English Chamber Orchestra, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Symphony, and the Academy of Ancient Music.
