Notes and Editorial Reviews
Pianist Matthew Hill performs selection of works united by the idea expressed by Messiaen in his verbal preface to Regard du silence, where he describes the silences that reveal the mysteries of the infant Christ as “sounds and colors”. The CD includes pieces by Liszt, Debussy, Messiaen and Gershwin. Produced and engineered by Sergei Kvitko and recorded at Blue Griffin’s Studio The Ballroom.
