Notes and Editorial Reviews
One has to admire Meyer Kupferman for he continues to compose well crafted, interesting and entertaining music for the most interesting combinations of instruments imaginable. On this new two CD set we go from the sounds of the tuba in its concerto, to four guitars playing as an ensemble, to the full symphony orchestra with solo instrument, to the percussion ensemble and then to a work for a large chamber ensemble written for one of the finest groups on the East Coast. As always with Mr. Kupferman's CDs, there are informative and interesting program notes which have been written by the composer telling about the music.
