Mary Jane Leach

Composer Mary Jane Leach grew out of a strong grounding in the arts, singing at church as a child, playing bass clarinet in high school, writing theater pieces in college, and finally getting into New York City's performance art scene in the late '70s while studying music at Columbia. Leach decided in the early '80s that she wanted to make her name as a composer and began to experiment with slow-paced pieces and layered tapes, as well as Read more compositions for voices.
