Mary Anne Ballard plays viols and rebec with the Baltimore Consort, as well as acting as the musicological adviser for the ensemble. A graduate of Wellesley College, where she began playing viol, she later studied viol with August Wenzinger and medieval music with Konrad Ruhland.
