English conductor Mark Wigglesworth studied at the Royal Academy of Music. Initially gaining attention through his win of the Kondrashin Prize in Holland in 1989, Wigglesworth launched himself on an impressive round of guest conducting and festival appearances that took him around the world, and he made his North American debut in 1992.
