The one thing that can be said about this performance, and it is no small compliment, is that it is amazing how well these amateur forces do with this beautifully complex score. This recording is taken from a live performance at the Riverside Church in New York City given during March, 1998. The sound of this glorious church is captured very well and the musicians perform way beyond what you would expect and of course, the presence of the magnificent Mignon Dunn, in beautiful voice is an added bonus.
