Maggi Payne
Born: December 23, 1945; Temple, TX  
Maggi Payne studied at Northwestern University, the University of Illinois, and Mills College. She has won several grants and awards and composed music for two of dancer Carolyn Brown's works, Synergy II and House Party. Payne is a recording engineer, instructor in music, and co-director at the Center for Contemporary Music at Mills College. Her multi-media performances often involve the use of video, film, abstract slides, and/or dance.
