Notes and Editorial Reviews
This project started as a group of friends performing music rarely heard in guitar duet form. It soon became apparent that something special was going on. All of the music on this recording, except for the Nocturne by James Chenevert are transcriptions. Many of these are reductions of orchestral scores. Because of this, the artists have a greater leeway for interpretation, and the result is a transparency not found in the original works. Also included on the recording is the hauntingly beautiful "Danza del Trigo" from "Estancia" by Alberto Ginastera, which that was featured in its original orchestral form in the 2012 award winning film "The Artist".
