Leo Smit

An American composer and photographer who studied with the Russian composer Dmitri Kabalevsky. Leo Smit (1921 - 1999) was a professor of music at the University at Buffalo, New York. He composed two operas as well as also nearly 100 song settings of the poet Emily Dickinson.

There was also a 20th Century Dutch composer named Leo Smit.
