Johannes Leertouwer is the chief conductor and artistic director of the Philharmonic New Utrecht in the Netherlands. The orchestra is noted for interpretstions of masterworks from the Baroque to early 20th century repertoire, as well as educational programs.
Johannes Leertouwer is also professor of violin at the Sweelinck Conservatory, Amsterdam. Mr. Leertouwer plays a violin made by the brothers Amati, Cremona in 1619.
