Maurice Bourgue is one of todayís leading oboists. He took over from Heinz Holliger at the Basel Orchestra, before being asked by Charles Munch to be the oboe soloist at the Orchestre de Paris. He currently performs with the worldís most prestigious orchestras, such as the London Symphony, Concertgebouw Orchestra, Vienna Symphony and the Bavarian Radio Orchestra. In addition to his many performances and recordings of the standard repertoire, he takes a keen interest in contemporary music, having given the world premiere of Henri Dutilleuxí Dyptique: Les Citations. He is also a highly dedicated and respected teacher. Jean-Pierre Pommier is renowned the world over as both a pianist and conductor. At 17 he became the youngest-ever winner of Read more the Tchaikovsky Competition. Over the years he has performed with the Chicago Symphony, the Concertgebouw, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Vienna Philharmonic.
