Sound choice - and get it while you can June 3, 2014 By Christopher D. (Kokomo, IN) See All My Reviews "Barbara Cook sings like an angel. That's the best reason to get this, although everyone sings beautifully. And since it's the best score in the history of musicals you've got quite an inducement. Get it while you can, because Sony (having acquired RCA's catalog) is as unreliable as RCA at keeping good recordings in print. Now if you're only going to have one recording of Show Boat, John McGlinn's single-disc 'Broadway Show Album' is the most beautifully sung, the most complete, and the most authentic. But this one is a good second - and Barbara Cook is first." Report Abuse
