The Trio Con Brio is a young Swiss piano trio that was founded in 1995. From the very beginning they captured the public with their spontaneity and enthusiasm. As for the music, much does not have to be said about the Tchaikovsky, but Paul Juon? Here is some information about him. He was a quite well known composer in the first third of the 20th century. His works were performed and published throughout Europe and even in America. But after his death, he rapidly faded from memory. Perhaps this was because his music was so hard to classify. neither Romantic, Modern or Folklorist. He was once described by a perceptive critic as "the missing link between Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky," which is actually quite applicable. A bit of everything is to be found in his music. Eberhard Preussner, a music critic and admirer of Juon wrote in 1926: "Juon's music is not all that easily understood. With his music Busoni's comments are relevant: It seems the public does not know this and does not want to know this, but in order to absorb a work of Art, half of the work has to be done by the absorber himself."
