"Very pleased with this CD. 'Robert and Elizabeth' is based on The Barretts of Wimpole Street. There are many fine musical numbers including the Overture, I Know Now, and the catchy Pass the Eau De Cologne."

Operetta lives! November 24, 2012
By Alec R. See All My Reviews
"A dear friend of mine who has a fine soprano voice, and with whom I have performed in G & S, operettas and musicals, lent me her recording of this many years ago. It is written in the so-called old-fashioned style! It contains lovely music and is of course the love story of the great English poets, Robert and Elizabeth Browning. I have recently been looking for recordings of June Bronhill, whose Offenbach & Lehar recordings I grew up with. I haven't been able before to find any recording on CD and when I tried Arkiv today I leapt with joy! Keith Michell and June Bronhill are marvellous together. If you love fine music and singing of any theatree genre, you'll love this-unless you don't have a romantic bone in your body!"

"I gave my LP of Robert and Elizabeth to my American friend in 1965...it's taken this long and Arkiv Music to find it again!! It's a wonderful musical and should be revived on the West End stage. There isn't a bad song in it."
