Jacques Loeillet (1685-1748), younger brother of Jean-Baptiste Loeillet of London, was an oboist and composer. Born in Ghent, he served the Elector of Bavaria (who was residing in the Netherlands) as an oboist. In 1726, when the Elector returned to Munich, Loeillet followed him. He later served Louis XV at Versailles, as hautbois de la chambre du roi. In 1746, toward the end of his life, Loeillet returned to Ghent.
